tottori day 2

in the morning, we eat some breakfast w kamitani then she sent us to my morita san host family house. I stayed for 4months with her fam and it was the best hostmom. Same age as my own mom. We chat till 7am then we went out with my best friend from high school, Tomo-chan.

She drove us to the nice place in Tottori city and we eat many nice traditional unique Japanese food. They all didnt drink any beer or sake as they driving so i cant say how Japanese are drunk but it was fun meeting with Moji, Kao, mochidzuku sensei as she is one of the champion of NAGINATA in Japan. She was my naginata teacher and she was one of the nicest one in school. We talked for 4hrs but too bad, they hv to leave early as they need to go work on Sunday. (-_-;)

Then, without we notice, outside was snowing while we were sleeping. The next day, white snow covers all around house. We were shocked and knew that it will be cold. Its 0゜c. So damn cold.

TOTTORI day 1

23/3 first day arrive in tottori at 7am, we were picked by my ex liason person and my host mom for 3months Kamitani san.

Then straight after breakfast, we went to Tottori main attraction which is Sand dune one of the largest in Japan. The weather is damn cold but its beautiful to see no matter what. I will put the pic later on the other post. After that, we went Wakasa to see if there is more snow. We did found alot in the mountain. Still snowing and then we stopped by to see the skiing place. Some people still snowboarding butsince my insurance doesnt cover death of skiing, i decided not to do it. Scared actually.

Then we went to eat Udon then after that, Kamitani san cook for both of us. The road n shops are different now even for the Tottori station. More nicer than before. At least there is a change for our place. Then it is so nice to eat with my host fam again. She cook roasted chicken and vege and we eat till we dropped. I n hubby sit infront of heater as it is very cold, we think its 4゜c . Then we sleep.

Tips Part 2 : Holiday in Japan

Dear all,

Now I remember what are the most important things for you to be alert in Japan. As you all know, Japan is an advance country, therefore, I would suggest you to be alert with the weather in Japan. How?

In every hotel/service apartment, usually they will post it at the lift or at the lobby for the week but sometimes it could change. So one way to do is watch the news. I usually watch Fuji TV (Fuji Terebi) for the news. Its usually comes every half an hour or one hour. 6.25am 7.45am or 7.25am. It depends. Usually people dont go out so early but dont worry, the news keep repeating all the time. It is good for you to determine whether you should bring your umbrella, wear extra cloths due to the weather or anything possible.

You definitely would not understand Japanese and sometimes so do I. So here are the tips. Below is how they usually will give the weather forecast.

The only thing you need to know which area are you.

if you know this, you will be fine. of course, it will be for the whole place. So beware of the weather.
